Top Quality and simple assembly
This product arrived on a triple length pallet. They brought it right to my garage. The packaging was beautifully done and no damage from shipping. Once I unpacked and strategically placed the parts, I began the process of building. Which I must say, after reading the reviews I was a bit worried.I broke out the manual and was surprised to see that everything was very well described and each step was written very carefully as to labeling and what parts were needed for each step. If you follow the directions this is so easy. My 12 year old was able to understand… It took all of 4 hours to build and the end result was beautiful. The machine works great and is very smooth in motion on all stations. I’m excited to get to my weekly routines on this professional piece of equipment. If you are mechanically challenged or have a hard time following instructions on a step by step build, I suggest calling somebody to assemble.I have 0 complaints on shipping and assembly and would highly recommend this purchase for anyone looking to install a home gym.

Better than expected
This gym is much smoother and sturdier than the gyms found at big box stores. It arrived faster than expected. The leg extension station is a little mid aligned as I saw in other reviews, but does not affect use. The amount of weight is plenary. If worried, look up coach Chris Kim on u tube. That’s what sold me. The low cable station causes the whole gym to rock when doing a lot of weight so I have my partner (son) sit on the seat when using. The lowest weight setting still might be too much for some exersize if you’re new. (For example bent over rows from low cable is too much for a young teenager just starting. ) Overall very happy.

Absolutely Terrible! Don’t buy this product
These instructions are not legible at all! We paid a high rated Tasker to try to assemble this thing and the instructions were so bad, it took 3 days, 12 hours worth of Tasker hours, and a wrong part that had to be shipped to us with no instruction. It’s not worth the money! Don’t buy this product. The customer service from this seller was also bad and they couldn’t help us in any way. Even the customer service told us that the instructions are useless. Just don’t waste your money on this. They should take it off of Amazon.

Have a professional assemble it or get a friend
This home gym is not what I expected. The gym is a little loose in areas the round stopper on the cable came off within a week. To pay this amount of money I am not very pleased. Decent workout my muscles have not been sore yet. It’s good for my teenagers

Robust gym. Best bang for your bucks.
Overall, it’s a great gym. I’m satisfied with all of the exercises you can get from it. There is not a routine poster for beginners. The instructions are good. The only part that could be confusing, if you don’t read through it first, is the cable routing. The blister packs for the hardware can be difficult to read which numbers correspond to the instructions. Another feature I like is being able to add weights to basic unit. I purchased larger carabiners for overhead later bar, as the ones that come with unit are a pain to attach with the pad on the bar. I really like this unit. I have read tons of reviews on similar gyms by MARCI, GOLD’s, and others. This has the best bang for your buck and you can add features to it.

Nice gym but difficult assembly and no use instructions
First let me say that this is a nice quality gym with plenty of optins for use once you get it assembled. There are two big problems though. The first problem is that there are a LOT of parts. Putting this together along with the PLPX Leg Press took approximately 8 hours (and I am typically able to assemble even complicated items fairy quickly). the diagrams for assembly are not that easy to read and can lead you to assemble some parts incorrectly. The second issue is that there are NO instructions or diagrams on how to properly use this product once it is assembled. I’m a (hopefully) former lazy guy who purchased this gym as part of my overall exercise equipment to get into better shape. I don’t have a lot of experience with gyms, but this product assumes you know what you are doing. When I called Powerline to ask if they had anything to help me with the use of their product, I was told that they only provide use instructions with their “higher end” gyms. While I do understand this is not the most expensive gym possible, it’s far from the low end of home gyms. I do not think that it is unreasonable to expect Powerline provide use instructionsfor their product. After pushing the Powerline phone support person, he got permission from his supervisor to send me an instructional video for another model gym. Hopefully I will be able to use this to help me develop my exercise plan and utilize this equipment correctly. So…if you don’t mind taking the time to do the assembly and you are experienced and know in advance how to properly use the equipment, this is a good buy. If you are not experienced (like me), you’ll be left thinking that you paid almost $1000 ($1300 with the optinal leg press) for a gym that you then have to go figure out how to use on your own. It is very disappointing that Powerline did not make the small investment necessary to help it’s customers use the equipment they purchase.

Very nice piece of equipment
Delivered on time. Very nice piece of equipment. My only complaint is plastic coated cables have already develop a tear within the first week. Would strongly recommend inspecting all pulleys before installing to ensure surface smooth. However, really enjoy working out on the equipments. It gives you lots of option to work all parts of your body.

Exactly as shown, fairly easy assembly (time consuming as expected)
Packages all arrived on time, everything was in wrapped securely and tight. A little on the pricier side but Ive heard good things about body solid products so Im hopeful that will last and do its intended job for a long time. A lot of the frame and accessory pieces were not labeled with part numbers or letters, but easy to figure out. The packages with the bolts, washers, nuts and hex screws had all the labels rubbed off, so going through and re-measuring everything was very time consuming ontop of a project that is already extremely time consuming. All together the whole build took about 6 or 7 hours, two of which consist of unpacking and measuring out each bolt and ect. Which is not too far from the other dozen of weight machines I have put together. You will need a couple additional tools, most people should have around the garage anyway, like a crescent or socket wrench set. Another customer had a reveiew on here speaking about cables rubbing and wearing out. I do see that in this design and I am slightly worried that will occure in the future. There was no lubricants in the packages, which in every machine Ive built before had at least one tube so this could become another issue. Those are my concerns for now. I have put maybe 2 hours of workout time on the machine so far, it does exactly what it is meant to do. Has several uses and hopefully there will be no issues. I usually come back to my reviews in a month to update reviews so stay tuned.

While i like the gym
The gym arrived on time. I decided to purchase the installation at the time of purchase. It took the guy about nine hours to complete the setup. While i like the gym, a couple of the stations are none operational due to defective parts. I have spoken with the customer service of manufacturer for replacement parts and they have been responsive. The issue is I will now have to either pay to have someone again come out and replace the parts or attempt to do it myself. Also with the way the gym is manufactured, the cables rubs against the metal rails causing the cables to wear very quickly. The design needs to be looked at to ensure this doesn’t happen. There are no exercise instructional poster on how to execute the proper movement for each exercise which would be helpful. Overall, if I had it to over again, I don’t think I would buy this particular gym.

Great Home GYM
This is one of the best items I have ever bought through Amazon. Works great. Assemble is straight forward, there are a lot of parts. Instructions are step by step mostly pictures, but they work. Put it together over the weekend. Unit is very heavy once assembled.

Great design but some quality issues
I ordered this machine for Christmas for my teenagers. I also ordered the extra 50lbs weight stack and the leg press. Overall I think the machine will be adequate for what my boys need. But I am not overly impressed with the build quality of the machine.Pros: Good design, capable of a lot of different exercises. Seems durable / strong and should last a long time. The machine can be expanded rom 160 lbs. weight stack to 210 lbs. And there is an optional leg press.Cons: Build quality is poor. For the price I expected more precision in the manufacturing process. Several weld joints in the framing members are not exactly square or straight. Now that the machine is assembled there some parts that are just plain crooked. The bench press bar is not level at all. One side of the bar is about 1.5 inches higher than the other. The back rest and seats are both crooked. These aren’t things that can be adjusted and tweaked when putting it together at home. It is the weld joints themselves that are crooked which makes for a crooked looking machine when assembled. Some of the pulley brackets weren’t straight, more crooked welds. After assembly, a few pulleys would rub a little on the frame. I had to bend / tweak the brackets so the pulleys could spin free. Also, some of the plastic pulleys were a bit warped. This doesn’t seem to affect the functionality of the machine but just another indication of the quality. As mentioned in other reviews, the assembly takes a long time. I’m a do it yourselfer with plenty of experience working on autos, lawn mowers, etc. This machine took me and my boys well over 6 hours to fully assemble. I think if I were to do it again I could do it much quicker the second time. The instructions were pretty good, but there are a few details left out that are hard to understand. For example, the routing path of the top cable is not 100% clear. Apparently we routed it through the wrong opening and before we noticed the problem, the cable had already rubbed on metal and some coating has worn off. There are several plastic end covers / boots that cover the ends of the metal framing tubes. These plastic ends don’t fit quite right in a couple of places. They bind on the adjustable back rest. The fit is so tight we cannot easily adjust the back rest. For now, I’m afraid it will have to stay put. Some of the end caps were preinstalled into the frame and were cracked or broken. The order was fulfilled by Fitness Factory and shipping was done via UPS freight. I ordered this on November 28. It arrived on December 23. Since it was for Christmas I didn’t mind but I was surprised it took so long. It came in several boxes shrink-wrapped to a wooden pallet. The pallet was labeled 540 lbs. It was delivered by a semi-truck and just left curbside. The heaviest box on the pallet was just over 100lbs.I plan to contact the manufacturer about the quality issues. I’m not sure what can be done at this point to correct the crooked frame and I’m not sure I want to replace it with a new one and go through the assembly process again. I will update this review with my experience with service.UPDATED Jan. 9, 2014 – I sent an email to customer service detailing the issues on Dec 27, 2013. I didn’t receive a reply so on Jan 9 I called them up. Within just a few seconds I was connected to customer service. I reported the quality issues. They are sending out new plastic end/cap bushings and a new upper cable. The customer service rep was polite and seemed happy to assist. He also said he will send me a new frame to fix the misaligned / crooked frame issues if I want. Of course this pretty much means a complete tear down and rebuild to install the new frame. I think I could do this much quicker this time, but this would still be a major job. I am still deciding if I want to do it though. He told me to just to let them know within the first couple of months. He also said they would test the new frame before sending it out to make sure everything was straight. Something else he suggested that has worked for other customers was to manually try and bend / tweak the press arm / frame to get it to sit straight. Unfortunately I have already tried that and it didn’t help. For the crooked seat, there is really no way to straighten that out and would definitely require a new frame. Anyway, new parts are being sent. I’ll update the review when I decide what to do about the frame.UPDATED Feb. 12, 2014 – Ok, the original replacement parts I ordered under warranty arrived so that is good, I have installed the replacement parts (just some end caps / cosmetic things). After using the gym quite a bit I finally decided I am going to need to have the crooked frames replaced. I called and requested replacements and they have also arrived. I just haven’t had a chance to tear down the gym and put it back together yet. Something funny is the when I asked for replacements I also asked that they double check and make sure the alignment is good so I don’t have this problem again. The guy said of course they would, they don’t like sending out lots of replacement frames so they always check before they send. Makes me wonder how the ones I have ever made it past quality control.Another note about the machine itself. The roller pads on the leg press don’t offer enough cushion. I found when doing leg extensions my legs were getting bruised because the padding is too soft so I can feel the metal bar. I have since added my own extra padding which has helped. It doesn’t look the greatest but it makes leg extensions bearable.Other than that, the machine is working good. We have 4 people in the house using it on a regular basis. It operates smooth and I expect it to last many years. Just wish I didn’t have to tear the whole thing apart to replace the crooked frames.

Lots of recent improvements, but still not there…
I did not purchase this Gym from Amazon. I researched different Gyms online and also visited people who gave craigslist ads trying to sell their Gym. Comparing and trying others, I found that this machine has all that I need for upper body and core. Also, the space requirements are reasonable. I was discouraged to buy because others say it is very hard to assemble. I am fairly good with my assembly skills but what if I couldn’t??Then I found a factory outlet in Chicago where they have a lot of Gyms assembled on display. I was able to actually compare different Bodysolid models including their bestseller EXM 1500 and 2500. I felt this model is better.. well the 2500 has 2 stations but still…One primary issue is that this model is hard to assemble. But the outlet provides delivery and assembly at a reasonable rate. The floor manager was very informative. So I decided to take a chance. It took 2 delivery people to take this to my house to the place I want. It took them 2.5 hours to assemble. They had done this before so they knew what they were doing. I was told that things are different in assembly now than before. There is a booklet that company provides that gives more detailed instructions than before. When I saw it, I think I could have assembled it in 6-7 hours by myself. There is still a correction page they provide that overrides the booklet instructions. This tells me they are still struggling to make it simple. Now I don’t know if they have changed any construction items from the previous model but at least the assembly instructions are simplified than before. Still I will advise to use such professional services unless you have done such things in the past and good at such things because there are many parts. Now, about the Gym itself. I do not have the optional leg press so will talk about the main Gym. It is not a professional Gym quality but I find the quality decent. The weights are metal and overall everything look and feel solid construction. It provides 6 functions: Multi-Press Arms,Lat Pulldown/High PulleyStation,Ab Crunch/Mid Pulley,Functional Pulleys,Leg Curl,Seated Row/Low Pulley. Do visit Body solid website […] for more details on its capabilities to decide if it is for you. They have the assembly guide there also. I do not think you need to add more weights unless you are into heavy lifting but that is an option provided as well.It gives a decent exercise overall but I do not think it can replace gym. I think they should have given a DVD or at least a guide that give exercise chart. The pulleys work find except for sometimes the two back moving pulleys touch each other kind of trying to overlap, this makes the motion of the cable motion jerky. It it not a five star gym but you may like it if you compare it with different gyms. Also Amazon should reduce the price because there are places that sell it cheaper. I wouldn’t write review on this but thought I should share my experience because people may just dismiss this looking at the other two one star rating.

P2X Machine
This thing is a nightmare to put together. It might be a good machine but I’ll probably never know. There is not one page in the “manual” that tells you how to use this machine. That is why it gets one star. The so called manual tells you, on page 45, to refer to the enclosed poster for routines. What poster? There is a bag of nylon straps and one with six metal clips and no indication of what they are for. Stay away from this company and deal with one that at least tells the customer how to use their product.
